Astrology Report: Today is a great day to sharpen our intuition

The following is shared from cafeastrology.com

Saturday, JUNE 25

The Moon spends much of the day (until 7:14 PM EDT) in the sign of steady Taurus, after which it moves into adaptable Gemini.

While a Mercury-Pluto minor square very early today can point to worries and skepticism, we’re opening up to new perspectives as the morning progresses. Neptune forms a sextile to Pallas, and Uranus and Ceres form a sextile, and we’re drawing upon our inner wisdom or our sixth sense and intuition to understand what’s happening around us. Previously hidden or unacknowledged talents may emerge. We get a stronger sense of freedom and encouragement. It’s also a potentially good time to discover new and improved ways to connect, relate, nurture, and heal. Group settings might encourage these things. Allowing our loved ones more freedom to be themselves can be in focus.

The void Moon occurs from 3:03 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Pluto), until the Moon enters Gemini at 7:14 PM EDT.

On tonight’s stream, I’d like to explore the topic of Mars on the synastry charts of George Ivan and Tanster.

George Ivan’s Mars is on his ascendant (as is Tanster’s) and it is in alignment or conjunct both the Moon and Uranus so I need to treat these three planets as a combined energy. I’ll post relevant info. and the red hyperlinks show the origin of what’s pasted below:

Venus square Mars in synastry is one of the most powerful indicators of physical attraction between two people.

Venus is the planet that is the primary signifactor of relationships. This planet governs what we like and who we are attracted to.

Mars is the planet that governs how we go after what we want. This planet can generate conflict, but it can also create sexual attraction.

The square is an aspect of tension. This tension can also provide chemistry between people.

Venus Square Mars in Synastry

When Venus is square Mars in synastry, the impact is electric. This aspect will make two people bicker.

In a potential romantic relationship, however, it can also make them irresistibly attracted to each other.

This could be two people who start off hating each other but then fall in love.

The reason that this aspect is so powerful and so complex has to do with both the nature of the planets and the nature of the aspect.

When it comes to relationships, Mars is the active principle, and Venus is the receptive principle.

Mars is also sometimes associated with masculinity and Venus with femininity, but everyone has both planets in their charts.

Women have Mars, and men have Venus.

Any connection between Mars and Venus between two charts means that on some level, the two people fit together. One receiving what the other is doing.

The particular aspect determines how they fit together.

The square is an aspect of friction.

Planets that are square tend to grate on each other.

When Venus and Mars are square, Venus is receiving Mars, but in a way that is uncomfortable and annoying.

Mars can feel both the connection and the annoyance.

The nature of Mars is such that this will energize this planet rather than discouraging it.

This is the reason for both the conflict and the attraction with this aspect.

You can find out more information as to the specific application of Venus square Mars in synastry by looking at the house position that Venus and Mars fall in each person’s chart.

. . .

Moon square Mars may be one of the most difficult and volatile aspects in synastry.

As the Luminary of the night, the Moon governs everything in day-to-day life. This, of course, includes our relationships.

Mars is an important consideration in synastry, but its influence is often troublesome. Mars governs conflict and how we assert ourselves.

A square is a difficult aspect. In synastry, it shows places in which two people tend to rub each other the wrong way.

Mars Square Moon in Synastry

Even in the best of circumstances, Moon square Mars will be challenging to almost any relationship. It is an aspect of conflict and it touches both people in rather sensitive places.

Despite this being a difficult aspect, it is more common than would be expected between people who have close relationships with one another.

We are often attracted to people who touch our deep parts, even if they also make us uncomfortable.

All squares have the potential of generating chemistry, but the chemistry with Moon square Mars is a complicated one. These can be people who get under each other’s skin, but at the same time, they cannot stop thinking about one another.

This is an aspect that requires both people to work on themselves if the relationship is to be healthy and happy.

. . .

Tanster’s Moon falls into George Ivan’s 11th house:

Moon in 11th House Synastry

If someone’s Moon is in your 11th House, the nature of your relationship will usually have a strong element of friendship to it.

This is your natural ally, who will help you achieve your goals and wishes.

Each house has some similarities to its opposite house, and the house that is opposite the 11th is the 5th. The Moon in either of these houses can signify a strong friendship.

The nature of the friendship is different, however. The Moon in the 5th House will indicate a friendship with the flavor of a childhood playmate.

The Moon in the 11th House will signify a more grown-up type of friendship characterized by mutual support.

. . .

Moon in 2nd House Synastry

If someone’s Moon is in your 2nd House, this person can have a profound impact on your sense of security and on your self-confidence.

This person will be able build you up or tear you down. The nature of your relationship and the synastry aspects between your charts will give clues to whether the impact will be mostly positive or mostly negative.

There is the risk of dependence with this placement. It will be tempting to rely on someone whose Moon is in your 2nd House, particularly when it comes to material and financial matters.

Moon in 3rd House Synastry

This is a nice placement for the Moon in general. The Moon likes to be in the 3rd House. This is true in a birth chart, and it also extends to synastry.

This placement will aid in communication. It will be easy to talk to someone whose Moon is in your 3rd House.

This person will feel familiar to you, even in the early stages of a relationship. You will have the sense that you have known the person all of your life.

Even though this person feels familiar, this placement creates less vulnerability than some other placements do. The relationship tends to be playful and lighthearted.

. . .

Mars is very important in synastry. This planet shows how we go about getting what we want.

Mars also shows how we express anger.

This planet brings energy to whatever it touches. In romantic relationships, Mars generates sexual chemistry.

Mars in 11th House Synastry

The 11th House is one of the relationship houses, and it governs friendships. It also governs allies and organizations.

If someone’s Mars is in this house, they have the potential to be a powerful ally.

This is a person who has your back and who will protect you whenever they can.

Mars in this house can also indicate that this person is an enemy or a rival, but only if there is testimony in the rest of the synastry reading for this.

Even if this person is a rival, it is usually a friendly one that is helpful to both of you.

You will help each other to grow and improve.

. . .

Woman’s Moon Square Man’s Mars Relationship

This gender combination can be a bit more problematic.

As discussed above, Mars is associated with the traits and functions that are traditionally seen as masculine. Any expression of these traits on his part could lead to tension and conflict.

It is possible that a role reversal will ease the tension between them, but it could be difficult for such a role reversal to go far enough.

In this case, it will be important to consider the overall synastry profile to see if there are more harmonious aspects between them.

Moon Square Mars in Friendship

Moon square Mars can also be quite volatile in a friendship situation. On the other hand, it will be easier for friends to avoid situations and interactions that will trigger each other than it is for romantic partners.

In general, a friendship will not form between two people with this aspect unless there are other harmonious aspects to bring them together.

It will be easy for misunderstandings to arise between them, and it is possible that these misunderstandings could cause the friendship to go sour.

If the friendship does go sour, the two are unlikely to just drift apart. Moon square Mars can produce deep feeling between two people, which can easily turn into anger or even enmity.

. . .

Moon square Moon is one of the more difficult aspects in synastry. It signifies deep conflict and misunderstanding between two people.

As one of the Luminaries, the Moon plays a role in every aspect of life. In relationships, it signifies our habits, our emotions, and even our thought patterns.

Moon contacts show how two people respond to each other on a semi-conscious or even unconscious level.

A square is a tense aspect. In synastry, it shows areas in which two people rub each other the wrong way. On the other hand, it can also generate chemistry and physical attraction.

Moon Square Moon in Synastry

In synastry, Moon square Moon indicates a relationship in which two people rub each other the wrong way. They have trouble getting along with one another.

The problems generated by Moon square Moon are not easy to resolve. It will be hard for either person to put a finger on just what annoys them about the other.

This is because the Moon shows areas that are habitual and even unconscious.

While this aspect is difficult, it is not necessarily fatal to a relationship. They will have an attraction to one another in spite of the fact that they annoy each other.

If Moon square Moon is present, it will be important to consider the other aspects between the two people to see if there is anything that can help the situation.

The Moon is the Luminary of the Night. Because of this, it is considered more powerful in the Night Signs. These signs are: Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, and Pisces.

In most cases with Moon square Moon, one person’s Moon will be in one of the Night Signs, and the other’s will be in one of the Day Signs. The person whose Moon is in a Night Sign will tend to be the more dominant of the two.

. . .

Man’s Moon Square Woman’s Moon Relationship

Moon square Moon is hard on any relationship, but it is particularly challenging for a romantic one.

It does generate physical attraction and chemistry, so it may bring two people together at first. The relationship may even feel exciting in the early stages.

Yet, if the relationship deepens, the two will discover that they have significant differences, and that these differences will become more and more problematic as time goes by.

If they marry or move in together, matters could become even worse. The Moon governs the day-to-day aspects of life, food, chores, routines, and the like. It also governs actions that are habitual.

Negotiating these matters will prove to be quite difficult for this couple.

Whether the relationship will survive this will depend a lot on the other aspects between their charts.

Moon Square Moon in Friendship

Moon square Moon is usually less problematic in friendships than it is in romantic relationships. There may still be friction, but it will not be as emotionally charged.

This aspect could prevent the friendship from becoming close, as it might be a bit uncomfortable for them to spend a lot of time together.

Another problem could arise if the friends are of the right gender and sexual orientation for a romantic relationship to occur. This is because the tension generated by a square could translate into physical chemistry between the two.

Unless there are other aspects indicating something different, it is probably not advisable for the two to become roommates or business partners. Moon square Moon tends to cause more problems when two people are in close quarters or interact with each other daily.

. . .

Both George Ivan and Koand have Moon Conjunct Uranus in their natal charts. Uranus is also opposition Mars on my ascendant.

Uranus – Basic Traits

Uranus is a cold planet; in fact it is the coldest of all planets with temperatures lowering up to – 224 degrees. Its outside is made of layers of clouds and its inside is made of rocks and ice. Like Saturn, Uranus has a ring system and has 27 moons.

The name Uranus comes from the Greek sky god, grandfather of Zeus and father of Cronus. Uranus the god is one of the oldest deities in ancient Greece.

In astrology, Uranus is the ruler of sudden and unpredictable events, transformations, as well as changes that are unexpected which in most cases dramatically change the person’s life.

Depending on the aspects Uranus is making the changes and transformations and/or events ruled by Uranus can have beneficial or disastrous effects. Uranus rules events beyond the person’s control.

Uranus rules traffic, geniality, and genius people, inventors, discoveries, creativity, and creative people, air traffic, and other kinds of traffic, electricity, telepathy, and similar matters.

In challenging aspects, this planet can bring some devastating events into the person’s life such as accidents, violent events, catastrophes, money losses, bankruptcy destruction of all kinds, etc. Uranus also rules revolutions, reformations, and similar matters.

Because it’s a generational planet Uranus initiates transformations in society usually related to the area ruled by the sign where Uranus is placed, or ruled by Uranus in general.

People strongly influenced by Uranus can have unpredictable nature. They are very independent and they don’t like authorities of any kind. They enjoy being different than others and don’t like being told what to do.

Their independence is one of the most valued things in their life and they don’t let anyone jeopardize it.

These people often break society’s rules and in some cases they demonstrate awkward behavior which is socially unacceptable. They also can be prone to unpredictable reactions which surprise others.

Because they don’t like authorities these people prefer being their own boss. They also don’t like routine and the best choice for them is a job where they can express their creativity and individuality.

They love extreme activities, especially extreme sports. They don’t mind taking risks and even jeopardizing their lives.

Uranus influenced events usually come unpredictably and surprise people. Depending on the aspects which caused the event, Uranus events might clear the path for some new things to enter the person’s life or it might make a chaos in their lives.

After the transformation caused by Uranus’s influence, the person is usually not the same. Uranus in challenging aspects is often the cause for relationship breakups.

. . .

Mars Trine Uranus Synastry

A Mars trine Uranus aspect in synastry creates a dynamic connection between two people.

This is a very passionate relationship and it can create a lot of physical tension between the partners. This aspect between two natal charts stimulates their desire for adventures and inspires them to pursue new experiences together.

These two stimulate one another. They support each other’s desires regardless of their nature.

They both love freedom, although Mars can have possessiveness which can sometimes be irritating to Uranus. With the trine aspect, Mars will be able to control his urge for control and allow Uranus do their own thing while they will be free to theirs.

In some cases, this could be an open-type relationship where both partners have the freedom to experiment and date other partners. In other cases, the freedom will consist of the ability of the partners to pursue their passions and interests.

This aspect can be an indication of a strong physical attraction between the two people who might be magnetically drawn towards each other. They are both extremely passionate and this could in some cases lead to perversions (not that often with the trine aspect like when the aspect is challenging).

They both love adrenaline boosting activities and this is another thing that will keep them hooked together. They love extreme activities, fast cars, and all kinds of potentially dangerous behavior.

Participating together in such activities makes the excitement between them grow more; these activities keep their relationship fresh and prevents it from becoming boring and uninspiring. They both give the initiative, but Uranus might be the side who leads and Mars accepts immediately.

This is a great aspect to promote the longevity of a partnership because it enables the relationship to evolve and be an enriching experience for the partners.

They do their best not to allow it to get stuck in a rut and try to make every day together a fulfilling experience. They enjoy making these changes because they know they will help their relationship expand.

Summary

The Mars trine Uranus aspect in synastry is a sign of a dynamical and energetic connection.

These two are attracted to each other physically and have a lot of common interest that might keep them together for a long time.

This is an inspiring union will help them grow individually and as a couple.

. . .

When the Moon is conjunct, square, quincunx, or opposition Uranus in synastry, the initial attraction can be exciting in an unconventional way. The Moon person feels a little off-center around the Uranus person, generally in a good way, but it depends greatly on the temperament of the Moon person. The Uranus person somehow enters into the Moon person’s life suddenly, and feelings that are stirred and aroused in Moon can be powerful.

Uranus interchart aspects create an electric chemistry that feels exciting and fascinating, and seem to promise a great time when there is an attraction in place. However, there can be a very unsettled feeling between the two people, and marked periods of vacillation between emotional closeness and emotional distance. The Moon person might complain that when he or she is feeling needy or simply desiring closeness, the Uranus person is absent (either physically or emotionally). The Uranus person might complain that the Moon person is too conservative, too domestic, or too somber at times. If the couple lives together, living arrangements are bound to be unusual, and there can be a marked lack of routine that is most unsettling to the Moon person. Even if this is the only hard aspect of Uranus in synastry, or if the couple has an overall sense of stability with one another, the presence of this aspect in their synastry will show up as a tendency to argue over domestic arrangements and routines, as well as a rollercoaster ride on an emotional level. Rebelliousness, especially on the part of the Uranus individual, with regards to conventional routines or domestic arrangements, as well as emotional intimacy, is a theme in this relationship. If hard interaspects of Uranus with personal planets appear elsewhere, the relationship probably started suddenly and developed quickly. This unexpected or erratic quality re-surfaces throughout the relationship as intermittent periods of nervousness and periodic disruptions.

. . .

Both George Ivan and Koand’s Mars placements are square Tanster’s Moon in synastry.

The Moon square Mars aspect can indicate repressed emotions and anger between two people. This is because the subconscious powers of the Moon can agitate the fiery aggression of Mars.

When the Moon is square to Mars in synastry, there can be a tendency for one or both people to hold back their feelings and emotions in order to avoid conflict with the other person. It is as if they are afraid that their true feelings will make them too vulnerable, which could lead to some kind of violent or unwelcome reaction from the other person.

However, this suppression of emotions can eventually cause resentment to build up and when it finally explodes, it can be a very intense and destructive experience.

In order for this aspect to work positively, both people need to learn how to express their feelings openly and honestly with each other in a constructive way. Only then can they release the tension and pressure that has built up as a result of keeping their feelings repressed.

Read on to learn more about how this aspect can play out in a relationship between two people.

The Overall Theme For Moon Square Mars Synastry

At first, there will be a strong attraction between the Moon person and Mars person. The moon person will be attracted to the Mars person’s energy and vitality, while the Mars person will be drawn to the moon person’s intensity and passion.

However, this initial attraction will eventually give way to a more challenging dynamic as the two people begin to clash.

Particularly for Moon people, the emotional rollercoaster can be challenging. Mars is too aggressive, pushy, and defensive for the Moon person. Moons are too demanding and needy for Mars.

This couple reacts instinctually and spontaneously to one another. Because people tend to react without thinking, lots of hurt feelings are likely to result. There is a possibility of defensiveness, nagging, and “immature” behavior when these two factors combine. There is also the possibility of codependency issues. Their passion for each other arouses both pleasant and difficult emotions.

Astrologically, the Moon rules the sign Cancer. As a symbol of our deepest personal needs, habits, and reactions, the Moon represents our unconscious.

The Moon reacts to the actions of the Sun. Are there any instinctual responses we have to problems? Are there any things we need for a sense of security? Check your natal chart for answers.

Moon energy is associated with motherhood and with feminine energy in general. It is both our inner child and our inner mother. It responds, receives, and reflects. We react spontaneously and instinctively to the Moon.

As the Moon circles the Sun, symbolically protecting it and reflecting its light, the Moon in our astrological chart represents how we protect ourselves and make ourselves feel safe, secure, and comfortable.

Between the inner world and the outer world, the Moon serves as a mediator. However, the Moon is irrational. It is in charge of habits and prejudices. Despite our Sun’s censorship of prejudice, the Moon is in charge of our spontaneous feelings and reactions.

It is important to know a bit about Mars in order to understand Moon square Mars synastry. Mars is the planet of passion, action, and drive. Our instinctual responses are governed by the planet, as is our way of asserting ourselves.

In addition, anger, aggression, and war are also associated with it. This is because when Mars is activated, we may feel angry or motivated to act.

It is therefore a very powerful, but also potentially dangerous planet. The expression of Mars must be done in a healthy way, or else it can lead to conflict.

As its best expression, this planet assists us in overcoming obstacles and reaching our goals. Our progress in life is made possible by energy as it helps us to move forward.

Anger and frustration can result when Mars is out of balance. We might feel like we can’t take action or that our actions aren’t producing results.

We can rebalance this by giving Mars a creative outlet and control in our lives. We can do this by exercising, working on a project, or simply expressing our anger in a healthy manner.

Although this relationship will come with challenges, there are many things that each person can teach each other, especially depending on what placements they have in their Moon and Mars charts.

If your Moon is in Aquarius and you have Mars square, for example, your partner may help you to be more spontaneous and sensitive.

On the other hand, if your Mars is in Libra and your partner has Moon square Mars synastry with you, then they can help bring out a more assertive side of yourself.

Since dependency and anger are major roadblocks for these two people, these are the areas that they can improve on with work. Although the path won’t be smooth and effortless, these two will feel deeply accomplished when they break through these issues.

The Moon person can help the Mars person to explore the reasons for their anger and frustration, and the Mars person can help the Moon person to find healthy ways of expressing their emotions and gaining independence.

In addition, this relationship will force both parties to deal with their own insecurities. The Moon person may feel insecure about being too emotional or sensitive, while the Mars person may feel insecure about not being able to take action or being seen as too aggressive.

Through working together, these two can help each other to build a strong foundation that is based on understanding and acceptance.

A Moon person might be seeking a commitment or promise from a Mars person, and find it challenging that Mars likes to take things slowly. Mars’s display of independence and self-assertion can be perceived by the Moon as dominating, and it can undermine the Moon’s sense of security.

Interactions between these individuals that are negative and angry play out most powerfully when they live together, and things can actually get a little nasty. Particularly when there is a square, the Moon person may tend to complain and vent frustrations on the Mars person.

The Mars person has a way of exaggerating dependency in the Moon person. Mars tends to draw out the Moon person’s needy and/or fearful/depressed feelings even when they’re an emotionally “together” person with others. It’s very difficult to relax in each other’s company. You’re likely to grow resentful of each other over time. These two have very different temperaments.

Practical Tips For Moon Square Mars Synastry Relationship

There are a few things that you can do to help your relationship if you have Moon square Mars synastry.

For starters, it’s important that both of you understand and accept the other person for who they are. Don’t try to change them – that will only cause resentment.

Secondly, communication is key. If you feel like something is bothering you, let them know. If you want to make an improvement in your relationship with your partner, then you have to talk it out first.

When the Moon person pushes the Mars person too hard for attention or validation and/or when they try to control their behavior through emotional manipulation (i.e., tears), that’s likely to cause a lot of tension and conflict. The Mars person may feel like they’re constantly walking on eggshells around the Moon person, and this is not a healthy or sustainable way to live.

It’s also important that each of you have your own hobbies and interests outside the relationship. This will help to prevent feelings of jealousy or possessiveness, and it will give both of you your own space to grow and change.

Finally, be aware that if one person is the Moon and another is the Mars in this relationship then there are many ways for them to become dependent on each other or fall into a power struggle (i.e., who has more control over whom). The best way forward is to have clear communication and understand that both parties need time alone as well as together.

Final Thoughts

The Moon square Mars synastry relationship is often filled with tension and conflict. However, this can be a highly productive relationship if both parties are willing to work hard.

The Moon person can help the Mar persons to learn how to deal with their anger in a healthy way, while the Mars person can help the Moon person to find ways of expressing their emotions in a constructive manner. In addition, this relationship will force both parties to deal with their own insecurities.

Through working together, these two can build a strong foundation that is based on understanding and acceptance.
