I’m continually astonished by how much knowledge Koand has packed into the audiobook How To Play Guitar And Y - available on audible. Now I am endeavoring to learn the very thing I have SO VERY MUCH DESIRED to learn - namely how to unlock my musical ability. I have been deeply lamenting my entire life that I didn’t know how to set free the music that’s inside me. I was in many bands in high school and I did study music in college and I was so extremely frustrated that I could not get past a very novice level so I applied myself elsewhere. I was also so frustrated in the face of the seemingly insurmountable blocks surrounding Koand that I did the same. Which is worth noting. I always loved him but he was continually married and I didn’t know how to get him to see me.
While I have not achieved anything as a musician yet - at least someone (both wild and gentle) has handed me a map and I am SO GRATEFUL Koand has made this production. It’s truly an answer to a very deep wish. The following song, Tell Laura I Love Her is mentioned in this groundbreaking audiobook. I hope many innovative strummers - including me - are the result of this great work.
I love Koand’s gloomy love songs and I find them VERY ROMANTIC. I will NEVER let you go and I feel the same. When I was in Paris, I would just gravitate to Les Invalides and I wouldn’t want to leave. I’ve been the same way. That’s what love is to me. ETERNAL DEVOTION.
We have versions of this touching song by Ray Peterson, Johnny T. Angel, Dickie Lee and Ricky Valance.
Tell Laura I Love Her Lyrics
Laura and Tommy were lovers
He wanted to give her everything
Flowers, presents
And most of all a wedding ring
He saw a sign for a stock car race
A thousand dollar prize it read
He couldn't get Laura on the phone
So to her mother Tommy said
Tell Laura I love her
Tell Laura I need her
Tell Laura I may be late
I've something to do that cannot wait
He drove his car to the racing ground
He was the youngest driver there
The crowd roared as they started the race
Round the track they drove at a deadly pace
No-one knows what happened that day
Or how his car over-turned in flames
But as they pulled him from the twisted wreck
With his dying breath they heard him say
Tell Laura I love her
Tell Laura I need her
Tell Laura not to cry
My love for her will never die
Now in the chapel where Laura prays
For her Tommy who passed away
It was just for Laura he lived and died
Alone in the chapel she can hear him cry
Tell Laura I love her
Tell Laura I need her
Tell Laura not to cry
My love for her will never die (x 2)
