Bob Dylan’s new book The Philosophy of Modern Song is a fascinating read and it is very surprising

It is also written in a style that I would’ve never expected. Very direct and simple but that’s just the guise. This work seems to hold a mirror to situations that are the bread and butter obsessions of this blog. I saw what could be some allusions concerning the bounty which has been clearly put on my head.

A lot of my point is that we have laws but they are useless as long as this one hiding wealthy group can get away with murder without retribution. They are proving me right with their actions but I may meet my end in not too long because of this right they have given themselves through their various tricks and games.

It seems Bob Dylan may be suggesting in this book that my potential murderers would then in turn become outlaws themselves. Alive or dead, I suspect I could make sure they get caught and that they’ll be very sorry for their crime. It’s up to the assassins whether the money will be worth the risk.

I also got more indications that perhaps I am being framed by my enemies by their own misdeeds - which is to be expected as that is their M.O. How they can “ignore” and frame me at the same time I haven’t quite figured out but I have to rely on outside sources to find out what’s going on as I have been deliberately isolated for some reason (“singing like a canary”) by a hiding organization steeped in crime.

I highly recommend Bob Dylan’s new book, The Philosophy of Modern Song for hints at what is really happening behind the scenes. He clearly understands the players of this great drama and he brings a different GENIUS and empathetic perspective. I did misunderstand this great man and I am very grateful to have a chance to appreciate him better now.

Let’s take a look at Bob Dylan’s words on Elvis Costello’s song Pump It Up, chapter number 2.

Pump It Up lyrics

Elvis Costello & The Attractions

I've been on tenterhooks
Ending in dirty looks
Listening to the music
Thinking 'bout this and that

She said that's that
I don't wanna chitter-chat
Turn it down a little bit
Or turn it down flat

Pump it up
When you don't really need it
Pump it up
Until you can feel it

Down in the pleasure center
Hell bent or heaven sent
Listen to the propaganda
Listen to the latest slander
There's nothing underhand
That she wouldn't understand

Pump it up
Until you can feel it
Pump it up
When you don't really need it

Hey

She's been a bad girl
She's like a chemical
Though you try to stop it
She's like a narcotic

You wanna torture her
You wanna talk to her
All the things you bought for her
Putting up your temperature

Pump it up
Until you can feel it
Pump it up
When you don't really need it

Out in the fashion show
Down in the bargain bin
You put your passion out
Under the pressure pin

Fall into submission
Hit-and-run transmission
No use wishing now
For any other sin

Pump it up
Until you can feel it
Pump it up
When you don't really need it

Pump it up
Until you can feel it
Pump it up
When you don't really need it

Pump it up
Until you can feel it
Pump it up
When you don't really need it

Don't really need it
Don't really need it
Don't really need it
