Nearly twenty years I was a journalist. There used to be such a profession. Today only the name remains, like an old sign of a business that was closed. And still people read something in the newspaper, hear it on the radio, see it on TV, and treat it as if it's journalism. What there is today is corporations, no newspaper or TV channel takes place as an independent entity. They are the spokesperson and public relations department of capital-government blocks. They don't compete for scoops, they compete for money. This week a new campaign was released: a mass outbreak of Corona in Binyamina! Indian Variant invaded the sleepy colony and threatens to bury us all in a new wave of mortality and torment! And of course it happens to be children, who happen to be the population that has not yet been vaccinated and that Pfizer needs so much to complete the experiment. If there was a press in Israel - they would go, if there was one journalist in Israel - he would travel immediately to Binyamina, wrapped in a hermetic isolation suit, to check how poor children were hospitalized, how many people in Binyamina are sick with Corona. He would ask what would happen if they had done such a concentrated test everywhere else in the country, in any population or age. Are the results in Binyamina really abnormal? He would ask why they hide the side effects of the injection from the public. He wouldn’t t have to go through too much to find endless testimonies of women with severe bleeding phenomena, or data on a dizzying increase in cardiac infection among healthy young people.
He definitely would have to ask how it was that the suddenly changed government rushed - almost in its first step - to renew dictatorial instructions for emergency. Where is the emergency here? He would also ask: why would even one person hand over a shoulder when the agreement with Pfizer - a company with a shocking reputation for crime - has been blacked out and hidden. But since there are no free journalists left, I have no choice but to take the raggedy cape out, to disgrace myself and report to you from the heart of the outbreak zone: nothing happened here.
The only outbreak is one of misleading Corona tests. And the biggest Indian Variant around is the restaurant that serves juicy somosas and vegetarian tali plates.
I stopped working as a journalist a long time ago - the media feeding process pushed a lot of people out; but I still believe in the principles that guided me and my friends in the work of "headlines" and "news". I wish them peace.
I can't stand conspiracy theories, don't think Hillary Clinton drinks children's blood or Bill Gates is the head of the devil's cult. I'm not an enthusiastic kid who shares every nonsense on the internet without checking. I know how to read a newspaper and see the whole chain that led to the publication of the news and the decision on the location, wording and the size of the headline. I know how to check sources and cross data. I don't get a salary from Pfizer or Tshuva or Menoni
And l'm a father, with a sacred sense of responsibility for my children. And all the reputation I have accumulated (at least between me and myself, which is the most important) I’m putting it here and say this without a shred of doubt or a blink - there is a war against us, for liberty and the right to privacy - and we are losing it.
We were educated to value mutual responsibility. We grew up as a small nation surrounded by enemies whose strength is in unity and faith. And now they're using it against us. They ask us for solidarity with the shareholders of Pharma Corporations at the expense of responsibility for our children and ourselves.
The story is not Corona at all - there is such a virus. But everything that's happening around it is not an attempt to stop coronavirus or take care of our health, but an excuse to use our fear (which is engineered and amplified as needed) to transfer more and more power from our hands to the hands of capital-government corporations.
There is a war against us, and we don't just lose; we don't just not fight; we volunteer to fight in the ranks of the opponent.
We scold each other, volunteer for these regimens, serving nostrils, throat and shoulders - no questions asked. Getting pushed in line for handcuffs, if that's what it takes to travel abroad. We forcefully close our eyes even when it turns out that the Ministry of Health has lied repeatedly, even when it turns out that almost all Coronavirus speakers in the media receive or received money from Pfizer or companies related to it, even when it turns out above all doubt what has been proven throughout - that the vaccine is an experiment and Israel is the laboratory, and whistle when the experiment It will be completed, then we will know whether and how safe or dangerous it is.
A country without a free press is a very dangerous place to live. Meanwhile we're losing the war but when one person decides to stop watching news or to buy a newspaper or avoid collecting a free rag - it's a win.
Every time one of us decides to find out the truth, connect with the sources and people one trusts and check for oneself before one decides - it's a win.
Their power is crumbling against individual people. They know how to control the herd and route it as they please. They will never know how to control people with independent thinking and a sense of criticism but it's not over.
So just before I put the cape back in the crate, as a former media person and full of journalistic responsibility I want to ask - have the assumption that anything you read or hear in the mainstream media can be a lie or manipulation. And here too. Everyone has an interest. Me too. Don't believe without checking. No one is watching over you from above, protect yourself and your children.
