Why I used to be angry at Elvis Costello.

Around when I was a celebrity photographer during the years 2006-2007, I had front row tickets to see Elvis Costello at the Beacon in Manhattan.

I called Elvis Costello’s publicist and I asked this publicist if I could photograph Elvis during the first songs.
This publicist told me he’d ask Elvis if I could photograph him. The publicist got back to me and said the answer was no.

I went to the concert. I watched some other photographer get to photograph Elvis during the beginning of the show. Though Sulky Girl was not played, she was there in that theatre. I was sorry I had bought those tickets and that my favorite musician seemed to be like that. That’s how I felt. That sour feeling lasted for a very long time and it made me want to reconsider my appreciation for this musician.

But of course, I couldn’t stop loving Elvis’ music. There is no one else who is like him. I’ve learned so much about music from him. I can’t ever really turn on him. I’m just too much of a fan. I think his music is better now than it’s ever been and it’s always been great.

Isn’t it strange that Elvis Costello’s publicist felt that disappointing a huge fan of his client was a good move? Letting me photograph Elvis would’ve been really good as I worked for the literal top photography agency in the world at that time. Elvis would’ve been at the top of the site from where the entire international media draws their content. I watched, over the following months, as other photographers from my agency got access to photograph Elvis. Why no access for me?

Was that sabotage? Who really said no to me? I’m starting to wonder.

Now I that I know how much time publicists spend working against me, I wonder if I’m the only one with an army of publicists working in the dark to ice me. I know I feel I’ve been provoked a lot about Elvis Costello recently in what I’m being shown on the internet.
I know I’ve been thrown one handler after another for quite some time. Am I the only one subjected to ongoing nonstop duplicity and control games?

Talented people are clearly a massive threat to the international spy system hegemony. The talented who actually have something to say are a threat as they have enormous influence with the public.

I never wrote about this before because it sounds a bit trivial but I definitely feel that IF Elvis is being deliberately sabotaged that he needs to know about it as soon as possible.

This revolution is about how severely we are being tricked and brainwashed by an army of publicists.
