I was at a dinner party with Elvis Costello, Barack Obama and Chris Evans. I don’t mean to name drop. I just want you to understand how pretentious the level of conversation was. Someone, I forget who, asked why mankind is locked into a perpetual military struggle against itself.
I laughed and laughed. People ask the dumbest things.
“What do you think is going to happen when you let Military Intelligence run the governments?” I answered. “Of course all they’re going to do is fight. That’s all they know how to do. Hopefully the Meek will be inheriting the Earth at some point in the near future.”
