(My answer from Quora)
If a person goes through the memoirs of Napoleon, they will clearly see that there was a group extremely determined to kill him.
When Napoleon was cornered in 1815 up against all the autocrats and their friends, he gave himself up to the government that was behind most of the plots to kill him (the English government).
Now some people will tell you with a sense of authority about them a lot of plausible deniability “facts” that it is ridiculous to think Napoleon was poisoned by his captors - the group that had tried to murder him for decades.
I think it is ridiculous to think that once the English government had captured him, they changed their policy into a “let’s wait for Napoleon to die of natural causes” policy.
Basically, I have been broadcasting these memoirs because I am really am tired of all the disinformation about Napoleon.
