Napoleon was complicated and he made mistakes.

Roosevelt said these words below at the Sorbonne in Paris. My Napoleon studies brought me to the Sorbonne. Sounds like Roosevelt was talking about Napoleon.

Me and my cohorts played a real role in changing the story about Napoleon’s death.

He was more than likely poisoned. Napoleon’s killers called it cancer because they were always terrified of creating a martyr. They didn’t want it to get out what kind of people they were. England never had their revolution. Look at them. Look at us. We lost when the oppressors took over nearly everything of value.

With Napoleon in Russia, Pages 3-7.

I love Napoleon. Right or wrong. Back in 1999, I was producing a play about the murder of Napoleon on St. Helena. A well known Canadian named Ben Weider had worked hard to publicize that Napoleon had been poisoned by English and French interests. Weider was very supportive of my plays and I told him that I had felt I heard the Spirit of Napoleon say that I should vindicate him.

I was shocked when Ben Weider emailed me back that he had heard the same thing.

My interest in Napoleon has always had mystical overtones and that experience has only grown more intense over time.

I’m planning to read this book, With Napoleon in Russia five pages at a time.

This book opens at the height of Napoleon’s power and it is extremely harsh. Caulaincourt is pulling no punches in this memoir. Let’s find out the Truth from the perspective General de Caulaincourt regarding the Emperor Napoleon.
