The smartest kid in my grade was always Michael Collins. How would the mafia suppose I would feel about the 1 who was always the official smartest??

They wouldn’t even let me in the smart kid classes. Never had the slightest chance.

Elvis tells me they did the same to him in England.

They only let him in after he got a taste of what incarceration feels like.

Then they shackled him to a demon so she could chase away his support and torture him up close.

Hannah Pakula

I interviewed Hannah when I was working at the East Hampton Independent concerning her book, An Uncommon Woman. I liked it very much and I suspected (but dismissed) it had something to do with me. Queen Victoria was/is central to this.

Tex is some 1 who played many games throughout this project and he’s telling me he is and was on my side.

That job made my feel horrified that it was all so much faker than I thought and it consoled me that I had not missed anything. Success did not exist. Not for us humans . . . .
