At the event, I met Ben Weider briefly. He had been very supportive of my play Longwood through email and other correspondence. He had told me through email that he listens to Napoleon also like I explained I was doing. Longwood drew heavily from Ben Weider and David Hapgood’s book The Murder Of Napoleon.

At Ben’s ceremony, I just so happened to be seated next to someone who I was made to understand was a big shot in the world of Napoleon scholarship but of course it was my next opportunity to waste my time and spin my wheels. On the flight home, I just so happened to be seated next to Billy Joel’s longtime saxophonist Richie Cannata. He was very kind and seemed interested in starting some kind of relationship or something if you know what I mean. Lots of coincidences are what it is like to be a target of D and her secret society crowd.
