Let’s look at the natal chart of Till Lindemann of Rammstein
I’m particularly looking forward to this exploration as Till is so very Scorpio or Pluto to me. His band’s work plays with the taboo and horror. They are very funny and known for their use of fire in their performance. Rammstein are shocking and full of surprises. They take their creativity very seriously and must be unusually disciplined to achieve their very unique dance metal sound. Rammstein are also from the very unfortunate and severely oppressed country once known as East Germany. Will we see these realities in Till’s chart?
Here already, we see the unusual discipline and ambition which must be necessary to be someone as superlative as Till. His Sun is in Capricorn. This can be a dour placement but it can also lead to great discipline and achievement if this sometimes painful energy can be harnessed.
Sun is in a harmonious sextile with Jupiter (benevolence, knowledge) in Pisces (spirit). This expands his fame. Jupiter is conjunct Chiron (wounds, healing). Anyone can see that Till is driven by deep pain. It helps him make achievements.
Till also has a harmonious aspect with a massive stellium (grouping of “planets”) involving Uranus and Pluto. There you can clearly see the shocks and revolution fueling his fame and identity. Uranus can also be a quirky funny energy. It rules technology. Rammstein use plenty of technology (Uranus in Virgo) with enormous skill (Sun in Capricorn).
A trine between Pluto in Virgo (service) and Till’s Sun is a perfect reflection of what we see. It’s not always the easiest but Till and Rammstein dredge up the dark, secret and sexy things.
Uranus and Pluto are already a revolutionary pairing. Anyone around Till’s age will find Uranus/Pluto in Virgo in their natal charts. I would look out for people this age to help us during these times of very necessary great change. If we can well manage these potent energies, we have the power to effect benevolent transformation.
In Till’s chart specifically, we find Mars as part of this Uranus/Pluto stellium except Mars (passion) is in Leo (glory, fame). There we see the fire (Mars) in performance (Leo).
Till’s massive stellium in Virgo includes - beyond Pluto/Mars/Uranus - also Ceres (nurturing), Juno (serious relationships, just rule) and Vesta (sacred fire, devotion). To have all of this ardent service energy packed into giving, healing Virgo reminds me of the song Sonne (Sun).
It is also interesting that Mars is trine the Moon. We can expect very turbulent emotions. One of Till’s most memorable songs is “Mein Herz Brennt” (My Heart Burns). This plays out literally here as Till’s Moon is in Taurus - a creative, loving energy ruled by Venus (heart).
Here we go again with Till’s strong Pluto feeling as his Neptune (spirit, music) is in Scorpio (ruled by Mars and Pluto). Till is someone who needs to plumb the depths to express his spirit. We can also see that his immense drive (Scorpio) has a spiritual thrust to it.
What further supports the predominance of Scorpio is that we also find Till’s Venus in Scorpio and it is afflicted. Venus is in difficult aspects with Mars in Leo. This would give off a twisted sex appeal. Venus is also in a difficult aspect with Jupiter/Chiron in Pisces. The pain would be amplified in matters of love and great healing could also come out of it.
This chart shows an extremely deep and spiritually motivated person who can and I’m sure will continue to be a great catalyst in the necessary changes that will be taking place.
