Contracts are something that form more often than we realize. For example, a technique that is employed for the creation of sneaky contracts is gifts that have strings attached.
Manipulative people can be very generous and then they will guilt the recipient for control. All of these contracts require consent and the willing fulfillment of both sides of the contract.
Fear obligation and guilt are the main ways that manipulators get what they want. When I have found myself cornered into uncomfortable situations that I didn’t really mean to enter, I learned to realize that all I ever had to do was back out and shut my ears to the “how dare yous” and the guilt trips that followed me as I walked out of the door.
We have much more power than we realize. The interpersonally exploitative are dependent on getting energy from others. Those of us with our own force can function on our own.
