Memoirs of Rapp about Napoleon, 300-330
Who was Napoleon III?
Napoleon the III was the third son of Napoleon’s stepdaughter Hortense and Napoleon’s brother Louis. He was the third son of Hortense’s to essentially be named Napoleon. Louis had attempted to give his son’s other names but Napoleon over powered him. Napoleon was extremely possessive of his stepdaughter and this among other reasons led to extreme anguish in Hortense’s life. With the unhappy couple’s third son, Louis at least was able to get his name placed before Napoleon’s so this is how Louis Napoleon Bonaparte’s name came to be.
Louis Napoleon was forced to leave France as a boy as a consequence of his mother’s loyalty and strong association with the Emperor. Napoleon basically had been treating Louis Napoleon as his son (until Napoleon was forced to leave him).
Louis Napoleon was raised by his mother to honor and vindicate Napoleon. I don’t have the depth of knowledge about Louis Napoleon as I do his uncle in part because there is really a lot of disinformation about him.
This is Hortense with her oldest son who died. In her stupefaction over this child’s death, she allowed her husband to do what he wanted with her (she did not like him and was being abused by him) and this resulted in her pregnancy with her third son Louis Napoleon. Strange but true.

A question from Quora about Napoleon
I have no reason to believe he said that but he did talk that way upon occasion about combatants against whom he had fought - the Mamelukes come to mind.
It is interesting to listen to the Marchand memoirs at the link below to see that Napoleon evinced the utmost respect for the British soldier even as their government had played a dirty, dishonest trick on him. They had promised him a ship and then they trapped him on it.
On that very ship, British soldiers were astonished to see Napoleon treat soldiers according to their merits and not according to their rank accorded from birth. Napoleon broke with British protocol to ask decent British soldiers to dine with him even if they happened to not be “nobility”.
This is the sort of thing British propaganda is likely to leave out of their accounts of Napoleon.

Because I love you
Hortense’s marriage looked like what it was.
No one was surprised when Louis was greatly dissatisfied by this arrangement. To make her a Queen (which she didn’t even really want), he had to make his whole family royalty so as to not be too obvious about his affections. Even despite all this, Napoleon’s family were wildly jealous of her.
Fabricated wars is how this group takes away nationality and freedom
Order out of chaos. Narcissists are known for having a compulsion to generate chaos out of boredom and a desire to control others.
1804 was a big year for Napoleon. Please put the story together. It’s very congruent.
